Thomas Sleeper is the founder and driving force behind InterContinental Insurance Brokers, LLC. He is an industry thought leader, and visionary, and continues to define the firm’s mission as he directs overall operations and serves as the chief strategist in developing client solutions. Thomas expertise and insurance career spans over thirty-five years in Industrial, Multi-family, Commercial Real Estate, and Private Client Services.

His focus continues to be built upon sound financials, comprehensive insurance programs, and ensuring that the company's initiatives are executed with the highest industry ethical standards. His understanding of the claims process and successful track record of claim settlements on behalf of his clients have allowed him to maintain a client retention rate well beyond the standard of the industry.

Carla Andrews has a successful career, providing a wide variety of risk management consulting and insurance brokerage services to clients. She helps minimize financial loss and guarantee positive financial results for businesses ranging from small sole proprietorships to multi-national conglomerates. Carla’s areas of expertise include strategic planning; comprehensive audits; insurance program design and implementation; contract analyses and negotiations; coverage/cost benchmarking; insurance-to-value evaluations; feasibility studies; business continuity planning; loss management counsel; and due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures

Carla also serves as InterContinental Insurance Brokers’ Financial Products Practice Leader, specializing in complex management liability and executive risk issues affecting private and public, for-profit and non-profit organizations.

Prior to joining InterContinental Insurance Brokers, Carla was a Producer and Risk Management Consultant with Eastern Insurance Group. She also served over 19 years as a Managing Consultant with Albert Risk Management Consultants. She was an expert public speaker for real estate and construction organizations, trade associations, and legal groups on a variety of risk management topics affecting real estate and construction. She is an accredited risk management and insurance educator for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) International.

Carla graduated from Mount Holyoke College and was a Sarah Williston Scholar. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. Carla is a Licensed Insurance Broker, Licensed Insurance Advisor, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), and a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS).

Nancy O’Connor is the Marketing Director and Principal Negotiator of Insurance and Risk Transfer Programs for InterContinental Insurance Brokers, LLC. She develops creative insurance and risk management solutions for a wide range of clients across a diverse range of industries and interests. Nancy has high expertise and experience in the real estate, social services, hospitality, high-tech and financial services industries.

During her career, Nancy serviced and marketed major property and casualty accounts with international firms, including Alexander & Alexander Brokerage Services (now AON) in Boston. She was a key member of their new business team. Nancy also managed large accounts and marketed client programs for regional insurance brokerage firms, including C.J. McCarthy (owned by HUB International), and Kaler, Carney, Liffler (now Arthur J. Gallagher). Her experience spans over 35 years and several insurance cyclical markets. Nancy’s strength is her vast experience preparing clients for changing insurance market conditions, introducing clients to new products for mitigating financial loss, and developing strategies with resulting cost savings and risk transference solutions.

Nancy is known throughout the insurance industry as one of the top negotiators in the business. She is recognized by a majority of the senior underwriters in Boston, New York, Hartford, and the UK for her technical knowledge in the risk management and insurance industry.

Chris oversees and manages the national personal insurance division catering to high-net-worth individuals and families to safeguard their possessions and personal liability. He is responsible for new business sales, accounts, and claims management.

Chris’ strength and specialty cater to the dynamic lifestyle and insurance needs of affluent individuals and their families, with board of directors’ responsibilities and multi-generational attributions. He designs tailored personal insurance programs for high-net-worth accounts with multiple homes, significant collections, high-value real estate, and other personal assets.

Chris, a Private Risk Management Association (PRMA) member, holds a Chartered Private Risk & Insurance Advisor certification. He also has a Certified Personal Insurance Advisor designation from Wharton Executive Education.

Bruce Carter specializes in designing and implementing tax advantaged deferred compensation plans for corporate executives, as well as working with clients’ advisors to create estate plans. His expertise and experience in financial services spans nearly four decades. During that time, Bruce has held a number of leadership positions in sales and sales management, most notably at New England Life where he began his career.

Bruce is active in the New England non-profit community and has served on the boards of many organizations. Bruce graduted from the University of Maryland, where he was a golf team member.
